One of my New Year’s resolutions is to stay caught up with all things advertising. But I can’t wait until January 1 to make good: I need to know now! What are you expecting to see in 2024?

Dear Overeager,
Wow, what a great goal—and what a perfect excuse to loop in Brokaw’s experts.
Digital Media Supervisor Tami Bongiorni says: “Facebook and Instagram may be separating certain cross-platform capabilities, including Messenger. This could impact those who are used to cross-promoting in one seamless action, and those who run Direct Messenger ads. Time will tell what this fully means for advertisers and consumers alike.” What could possibly go wrong, right?!
Managing Partner Tim Brokaw—yeah, I’m connected like that—thinks: “There will be a backlash against AI and its sea of bland, ignorable content that inspires consumers to seek out more original storytelling and authenticity.” Hear! Hear!
Copyeditor and Traffic Manager Holly Kirby predicts: “People will still ponder whether they need to add that darn apostrophe to the word ‘its’ in the sentence they’re writing.” It’s (?) looking like a 100% chance of punctuation perplexities!
If you have thoughts on what the new year will bring, reach out to share them. (Priority given to individuals with ESP who have solid Super Bowl predictions.)
